The Candidates Tournaments of European Individual Championship 2018 have been inserted on ICCF web-server.
Here are some highlights:
◾ Official start-date: March 20, 2018
◾ TDs: IA Valery Myakutin (RUS), IA Mariusz Wojnar (POL), IA Marco Caressa (ITA), IA Joop Jansen (NED)
◾ 5 Sections with 13 players each (i.e. 65 players)
◾ Category 8 (average rating of all Sections: 2433)
◾ Players from 25 different countries, the moist active countries are Russia (17), Italy (8), Austria, Germany, Luxembourg and Portugal (3 each)
◾ 3 or 4 players from Russia, 1 or 2 players from Italy, and no more than 1 player from any other country in each Section
◾ 10 GM; 22 SIM; 23 IM; 3 CCM; 1 CCE; 2 Grandmasters in each Section
◾ The winner and the runner-up of each Section qualify to the Final
